Required and voluntary regulatory disclosures for Alderframe LTD as a UK private limited company. Last reviewed: 6 October 2026.
This page sets out the UK regulatory disclosures Alderframe LTD makes to clients, employees, suppliers and the public. It is published in the spirit of the “disclose, don’t bury” convention — everything one place, plain English, dated. Contact: hello@alderframe.co.uk.

2. Data protection (UK GDPR · Data Protection Act 2018)
Alderframe LTD is the data controller for personal data collected through alderframe.co.uk and through any Build With Alderframe engagement. Our full Privacy Policy is at /privacy.html. We list every third party that processes personal data on our behalf, with safeguards, at /legal/subprocessors.html.
ICO registration: data protection fee registration submitted to the Information Commissioner’s Office on 6 October 2026 — confirmation pending. Once the ICO confirms the registration, the registration number will appear here and on the Privacy Policy.
UK Representative: not required — Alderframe LTD is established in the United Kingdom.
EU Representative (EU GDPR Art 27): Alderframe LTD has no establishment in the European Union and offers services to people in the EU through Freshli and RouteSky. That processing is no longer occasional, so an Article 27 representative is required. Alderframe has not yet appointed its EU GDPR Article 27 representative. We are taking steps to complete the appointment and will publish the representative’s details here and in the Privacy Policy once appointed. Until then, people in the EU can contact us directly at hello@alderframe.co.uk, and retain the right to complain to their national supervisory authority.
Data (Use and Access) Act 2025: the Act’s data protection provisions were commenced in stages during 2025 and 2026. Since 19 June 2026, section 164A of the Data Protection Act 2018 gives people the right to complain about our handling of their personal data directly to us. We publish a route for that at /legal/data-complaint.html and undertake to acknowledge any such complaint within 30 days, as the section requires. Our privacy notices state this right alongside the right to complain to the ICO under section 165.
Data subject rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and complaint to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). Exercise any right by emailing hello@alderframe.co.uk.
3. Payment compliance (PSR 2017 · PCI DSS)
All card and digital-wallet payments are processed by Stripe Payments UK Ltd — authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority under the Payment Services Regulations 2017 (FRN 752443). Stripe is a PCI DSS Level 1 service provider.
Alderframe LTD’s PCI DSS scope is SAQ-A — we never see, transmit or store card numbers, CVVs, or PINs. Cardholder data is collected entirely on Stripe’s hosted Checkout page (checkout.stripe.com and buy.stripe.com) and never on alderframe.co.uk. Payouts settle to Alderframe LTD’s GBP business current account at Tide (provided by ClearBank, FCA-authorised).
Bank-transfer payments (Faster Payments) are received directly into the Tide account; the sort code and account number are provided on issued invoices only and are not used in any other context.
4. Consumer protection (Consumer Rights Act 2015 · Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)
For UK consumers buying services online from Alderframe:
- 14-day cancellation right from order confirmation under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. A consumer can expressly ask Alderframe to begin a service during the 14-day cancellation period. If the consumer then cancels after requested performance has begun, a proportionate amount may be payable where the statutory conditions are met. The cancellation right is lost through full performance only where performance began following the required express request and the consumer acknowledged that full performance would cause the cancellation right to be lost. Full detail in our Service Terms §6.
- Services performed with reasonable care and skill under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 §49. Where they aren’t, we will redo or refund the affected stage.
- Information requirements: pre-contract information (service description, price, cancellation rights, business identity) is provided on the Studio catalog page and at Stripe Checkout before any payment is captured.
- No hidden fees: catalog prices are the final price (no VAT added; no booking fees; no card surcharges). Promo codes (e.g. HELLO15) are the only price modifier.
5. Provision of Services Regulations 2009
Information about Alderframe LTD as a service provider is published on this page (company identity, contact details, professional indemnity status, after-sales process). Any further information required under the Regulations is available on request to hello@alderframe.co.uk.
6. Modern Slavery Act 2015 statement
Alderframe LTD’s annual turnover is significantly below the £36 million threshold at which a formal Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement is mandatory under section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. Even so, Alderframe is committed to operating without modern slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, or human trafficking in any part of our business or supply chain.
Our practical measures, proportionate to a small founder-led studio:
- We work only with suppliers and subprocessors whose published policies and reputation are consistent with the Act (Stripe, Tide/ClearBank, Cloudflare, Supabase, Apple, Google, GitHub) — established providers with their own published policies on modern slavery and supply-chain conduct.
- Engagements with subcontractors (if and when used) include a clause requiring compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and equivalent laws in their jurisdiction.
- Any credible concern can be reported confidentially to hello@alderframe.co.uk and will be taken seriously.
7. Anti-bribery & corruption (Bribery Act 2010)
Alderframe LTD has a zero-tolerance approach to bribery and corruption. We do not offer, promise, give, solicit or accept bribes — financial or otherwise — to or from any client, supplier, public official, or other party, in the UK or any other jurisdiction. Reasonable and proportionate hospitality (e.g. a coffee meeting) is allowed; anything else is not.
Any concern about a possible breach can be reported confidentially to hello@alderframe.co.uk.
8. Equality & non-discrimination (Equality Act 2010)
Alderframe LTD is committed to equal treatment and to not discriminating against any client, supplier or member of staff on grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation. We design and build products to be accessible by default — see our individual product accessibility statements (e.g. RouteSky) and our accessibility statement.
For the alderframe.co.uk website itself, our accessibility target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We will publish a formal Website Accessibility Statement on this hub once we have completed a third-party audit.
9. Sanctions, AML & KYC
Alderframe LTD will not knowingly accept business from, or provide services to, any individual or entity:
- where doing so would be prohibited by sanctions law applicable to Alderframe; or
- where the source of funds is not transparent.
Alderframe will not knowingly enter into a transaction prohibited by sanctions law applicable to it. As a UK company, Alderframe checks applicable UK sanctions requirements, including the current UK Sanctions List and the relevant statutory regimes and licences published in the GOV.UK sanctions collection. Where a transaction or service creates additional exposure to another jurisdiction’s sanctions rules, we assess those requirements separately. Stripe performs automated sanctions screening on all card transactions in line with its FCA obligations. For bank transfers, we may ask basic KYC questions before accepting unusually large sums. Anti-money-laundering is taken seriously even where formal MLR 2017 registration is not required for our service type.
10. Insurance
Professional Indemnity insurance: not currently held. Policy details will be published here if cover is placed.
Public Liability insurance: [not currently held]. Alderframe operates remotely with no visiting public; risk is assessed as low. Will be arranged before any in-person service delivery.
Cyber Liability insurance: not currently held. Policy details will be published here if cover is placed.
11. Apple Developer Program & App Store compliance
Where Alderframe LTD prepares or submits apps to the Apple App Store on a client’s behalf (as part of the App Store Launch Pack catalog item), submissions are made under the client’s own Apple Developer Program account using their own Team ID. Alderframe’s Team ID (F853777W6P) is used only for Alderframe’s own products (Freshli and RouteSky; SaySpace until it closed in September 2026). Alderframe requires its submissions to comply with the applicable App Store Review Guidelines and Apple Developer Program terms.
12. Online Safety Act 2023
Alderframe LTD’s social app, SaySpace, closed permanently in September 2026 and is no longer available.
Since version 1.1.0 (23 August 2026), RouteSky has offered an optional Community Reports feature, off by default, in which structured hazard reports made by one driver can be shown to others. Because users can share content with each other, we treat that feature as bringing RouteSky within the Act’s user-to-user regime, and we do not claim any exemption from it.
RouteSky uses structured, fixed-category reporting with no free text, photos or profiles; rate limits on reporting and flagging; automated flag thresholds that hide a report once it has been flagged by several different installations; temporary sharing restrictions for an installation whose reports are repeatedly hidden; the ability for any user to block a source of reports; and automatic expiry of every report, to reduce misuse of Community Reports. These safeguards are automated; a person reviews reports, flags and related records when a concern is raised with us or when the law requires it. Anyone can raise a safety, moderation or legal concern about RouteSky Community Reports with Alderframe at hello@alderframe.co.uk (subject: RouteSky Online Safety Complaint), and can send a formal notice about allegedly illegal content through our illegal-content notice route. Our complaints procedure explains how such concerns are handled and how they can be escalated to Ofcom.
The Build With Alderframe service is B2B / B2C consultancy with no user-to-user functionality of its own, and alderframe.co.uk carries no user-generated content.
13. Cookies & PECR
Use of cookies on alderframe.co.uk is described in our Cookie statement. The site uses only strictly-necessary cookies set by our infrastructure provider (Cloudflare) for security and performance, and counts visits in aggregate with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and stores nothing on the device; an opt-out is provided on the Cookie statement. No advertising or marketing cookies are set on alderframe.co.uk. PECR consent is therefore not required for first-party cookies, and the statistics rely on the Schedule A1 exception for first-party statistical purposes with notice and opt-out. Since 5 February 2026 the position is governed by the new Schedule A1 to PECR (inserted by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025), which also confirms that these rules apply to mobile apps as well as websites, and which raised PECR penalties to UK GDPR levels.
14. Complaints
If you have a concern about any aspect of Alderframe’s service or conduct, see our Complaints procedure. Internal resolution is the fastest route. UK consumers retain their statutory rights, including the right to raise matters with Trading Standards and to bring court proceedings. Alderframe is not currently required by law, trade-association membership or contract to participate in a particular ADR scheme; where section 308 of the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 requires us, when giving the outcome of a consumer complaint, to tell the consumer about an ADR or other arrangement that is available because we are obliged to participate in it, we will do so, and we may agree to mediation or another accredited ADR process voluntarily on a case-by-case basis. Complaints specifically about personal data go through /legal/data-complaint.html, and reports about content in our apps go through /legal/dsa.html.
15. Tax & financial reporting
Alderframe LTD files annual accounts and confirmation statements with Companies House and corporation tax returns with HMRC as required by UK law. We are not currently registered for VAT (turnover below the £90,000 threshold); we will register and add UK VAT to invoices at the threshold or earlier if appropriate.
16. EU Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065)
The optional community hazard-report layer in RouteSky is a hosting service carrying content provided by its users, distributed in the European Union. Our Article 11 and Article 12 contact points, our Article 16 notice-and-action route and our approach to statements of reasons and appeals are published at /legal/dsa.html. Alderframe LTD is a micro-enterprise and relies on the Article 19 exemption from the additional online-platform obligations in Section 3 of Chapter III. Alderframe has not yet appointed its DSA Article 13 legal representative. We are taking steps to complete the appointment and will publish the representative’s details on that page, and notify the relevant Digital Services Coordinator, once appointed. Trader information for EU App Store distribution is verified with Apple and uses the same registered company name and registered office as this website.
17. European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882)
Alderframe LTD is a micro-enterprise within the meaning of Article 3(23) of the Directive (fewer than ten people and turnover and balance sheet total each below €2 million), and is therefore exempt from the Directive’s accessibility requirements for services under Article 4(5). We publish an accessibility statement voluntarily at /legal/accessibility.html, which sets out what our apps support and the limitations we know about. We build to WCAG 2.2 AA as a design target but do not claim formal conformity with EN 301 549. We will re-test the exemption if headcount changes.
18. EU AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689)
No Alderframe product uses a prohibited practice under Article 5 or a high-risk system under Article 6. The generative features we ship are Freshli’s recipe suggestions and RouteSky’s Ask RouteSky answers, both produced by Apple Intelligence on the user’s own device; Freshli labels its suggestions as generated, and RouteSky checks every number in an answer against the route’s own forecast before showing it. RouteSky’s Journey Score is deterministic code rather than a model. Our full disclosure is at /legal/ai.html, and we maintain AI-literacy measures under Article 4 proportionate to a company of this size.
19. Governing law
This page and Alderframe LTD’s general legal documents are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rules in your country of residence.
Solicitor-review note. This page is published in good faith and reflects current UK law as Alderframe LTD understands it on 6 October 2026. It is not legal advice. Alderframe LTD recommends having a qualified UK solicitor review the documents in the Legal hub before relying on them for any specific situation. Items marked [pending] are being actively progressed and will be filled in publicly as they complete.
