Legal · Digital Services Act
Reporting Content & DSA Information.
How to report content you believe is illegal, who to contact under the EU Digital Services Act, and how our content decisions can be challenged.
Alderframe Ltd publishes an app in the European Union that lets people share content with each other: the optional Community Reports feature in RouteSky, which is off by default and carries structured hazard reports rather than free text. (Our social app, SaySpace, closed in September 2026.) This page carries the information the EU Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065) requires us to publish, and explains how to report content you believe is illegal.

Email hello@alderframe.co.uk with “DSA” in the subject line, or write to the registered office above. Messages are read by a person — we do not rely on automated-only handling. We communicate in English.
Legal representative (Article 13)
Alderframe Ltd has no establishment in the European Union. Alderframe has not yet appointed its DSA Article 13 legal representative. We are taking steps to complete the appointment and will publish the representative’s details here once appointed. Until then, authorities and users can contact us directly at the addresses on this page.
Point of contact for authorities (Article 11)
Member State authorities, the European Commission and the European Board for Digital Services may contact us at hello@alderframe.co.uk, marking the message for the attention of the Alderframe DSA contact, or in writing at the registered office above. Language of communication: English.
Reporting illegal content (Article 16)
Anyone can tell us about content they consider illegal. You do not need an account, and you do not need to be the person affected. There are two different routes, and it matters which one you use.
1. Flagging in the app (community moderation)
In RouteSky, tap a Community Report and choose Flag this report with one of the preset reasons, or block the installation that submitted it. This is a community moderation and quality mechanism: flags are handled by automated safeguards (rate limits and thresholds that hide a report after several flags from different installations) and are not individually reviewed by a person. In-app flagging is not a formal notice under Article 16, and it does not on its own tell us that you believe content is illegal.
2. Sending a formal notice
If you believe a Community Report contains illegal content, send us a formal notice by email. Our dedicated page, Report illegal content, explains what to include so that we can identify the report and assess it, and how we handle the information you send. In short: email hello@alderframe.co.uk with the subject DSA Article 16 Illegal Content Notice.
Notices sent by email are read by a person. We will confirm receipt without undue delay, decide promptly, diligently and without arbitrary treatment, and tell you what we decided and how to challenge it. Where a notice allows us to identify illegality without a detailed legal examination, we act on it as soon as we can.
What we do about it, and how to appeal
If we restrict, remove or hide content, or restrict an installation’s access to Community Reports, we tell the person affected what we did, why, whether it was based on our own terms or on the law, and whether automated means were used in the decision, where we have a way to contact them. That explanation is our statement of reasons under Article 17. Because Community Reports carry no name or contact details, we can usually only provide a statement of reasons to a reporter who contacts us.
If you disagree with a content decision — whether you reported the content or shared it — you may ask Alderframe to review it by replying to the decision email or emailing hello@alderframe.co.uk with “Content decision review” in the subject line, within six months of the decision. A person, not a system, carries out the review. We currently provide this human review voluntarily; it is not the internal complaint-handling system in Article 20, which does not apply to us (see Exemptions we rely on). Nothing prevents you from using any judicial or other remedy available to you under applicable law.
Our rules
What is and is not allowed, how we moderate, and what happens when rules are broken, are set out in the RouteSky Terms of Use (Section 7, Community Reports) and the Alderframe Website Terms. We apply them diligently, objectively and proportionately, with regard to the fundamental rights of everyone involved.
Misuse
Under the RouteSky Terms we may restrict or suspend, proportionately and after warning where we are able to give one, an installation that repeatedly shares content that is manifestly illegal or that breaks our rules. These are our own contractual anti-abuse rules for the RouteSky service. We will continue to receive and assess formal notices sent under Article 16, although a notice that is manifestly unfounded, or that repeats one we have already decided, may be answered briefly.
Exemptions we rely on
Alderframe Ltd is a micro-enterprise within the meaning of Recommendation 2003/361/EC. Under Article 19 DSA, providers that qualify as micro or small enterprises are exempt from the additional online-platform obligations in Section 3 of Chapter III — including the internal complaint-handling system in Article 20, out-of-court dispute settlement in Article 21, trusted flaggers in Article 22, the measures against misuse in Article 23, and the transparency reporting in Article 24 — with the exception of Article 24(3), which continues to apply to us. The obligations that apply to all intermediary and hosting services, including the contact points above, the Article 16 notice route and statements of reasons under Article 17, continue to apply. The review route described above is provided voluntarily.
